A few weeks ago, someone I highly admire in business and life told me I wasn’t enough.
Maybe, not in those exact words, but it was implied.
My ego is a bad bitch and I began to reflect on every failure, mistake, missed business opportunity, why I am not losing weight, why at almost 40 am I not satisfied in my career.
You know the drill…
I raged internally.
I bitched to my social circle.
And finally, separated myself and ego from the situation.
In the moment…her delivery was pure shit and the timing couldn’t have been worse.
The truth is…she wasn’t telling me anything I didn’t already know.
I wasn’t showing up ENOUGH for myself.
I hadn’t been eating ENOUGH of the right things to see the scale move in the direction I wanted it to.
I hadn’t been putting in ENOUGH effort at my workouts.
I hadn’t been investing in myself ENOUGH through personal development, even though I thought I was.
I hadn’t given ENOUGH effort reach to reach or exceed the goals I set for myself.
I hadn’t been honest ENOUGH with myself in the unhappiness I carried for my businesses.
Here’s the takeaway…
Being ENOUGH for yourself is showing up daily! Not when you feel like it, are having a good hair day, or when the “skinny” jeans fit.
It’s true, you’ll never be ENOUGH for anyone else and you don’t have to be!
